I am looking for a (relatively) fast and economical way to send money over to another party overseas. Other than Paypal and credit card, what are the best way to go about doing this? I have tried Foreign Money Order in the SingPost office, but they only remit to certain countries (the USA and UK are not included).
As for Paypal, some companies don't work with it.
What is the best way to send money overseas from Singapore? Paypal and credit card excepted?
I am sorry but I am going to ask you to go back to the SingPost Office, heh.
Apart from Foreign Money Order you can also send money using Western Union Money Transfer - but you will have to check which SingPost Office has that facility - all offices don't have it. (Clementi and the one at Jurong East offers this facility.)
With Western Union Money Transfer, you can send money in less than 15 minutes!
It's slightly more expensive than TT (done through banks), but it is worth it. You go to the office, give them the money and fill a form with your details and the receiver's details, including IC/Passport number. You will receive a long number, something like a PIN.
You will send this PIN to the person you wish to send money to, and that person can go to the Western Union Money Transfer outlet in their country with proper identification and that number to receive the amount instantly.

Reply:I earn my money with Bux.to, but with a twist that makes it hands free, no work involved at at all. Bux.to is a ptc (get paid to click) site. When you sign up you can access a list of ads that change daily. Bux.to pays you $0.01 per click. But this is annoying and takes time, so an autoclicker has been made to make this process completely effortless. Simply sign-up to Bux.to here (as my refferal of course, it does not affect you your earnings): http://offto.net/id5
Once you've signed up, they'll give you $0.09.
After that, just download the autoclicker here: http://offto.net/buxtoautoclicker Then start the clicker and the rest should be self explanatory. Just leave the clicker on and it will click for eternity. The best part is that you get 100% referral commission. (You make whatever your referrals make). So get out there are refer people! Send them the clicker link!
I also have another opportunity to earn some easy money doing what you already do. Follow this link and you will be paid for using a search engine.

Reply:the best way is to woodcut but if u want to earn money and gain XP u can kill druids, they drop herbs, some of them are worth 2-6k a full inv is like 50k.here are the herbs u need to keep:
ranarrs
avantoe
harralanders
lantadyme
grimy dwarf weed
the druids are located in the edgeville dung Report Abuse
Reply:There are many different ways. My favorite is the following:
Buy feathers in the Fishing Shop in Port Sarim for 1-3 GP per feather. Get around 1,000 to 100,000 and sell them for 10 or 15 gp each respectively.
Other ways include:
Combat for Cash: Fight Lesser Demons and Greater Demons, as they tend to have great drops. Dragons work well also, and if you can mage or melee the steel dragon you can make 1mil an hour.
Merchanting: Buy stuff and then sell it at an inflated price.
Reply:Do you cut yew? I don't know your woodcutting level but cutting nothing but willows until you get to yew is a really fast way to get there. Selling yew is very profitable. You could also sell lobbies. You can go to Edgeville and server hop until you find a permanent buyer. Have fun !

What is a good way to raise money on a college campus?
My group and I are trying to think of creative ways to raise a lot of money to go to Guatemala to help a village build water tanks. I go to The University of Tennessee and need to get some money out of the students on the pedestrian walkway or maybe some football games. Anyone have some good ideas that don't involve alcohol? (it's a dry campus) Haha.

How much can money can I donate instead of paying taxes on it?
Just wondering how much money, an amount or percentage that I can donate to charities instead of just paying taxes with my money? If you do not know for sure I will just consult with my tax advisor...Thanks, Shawna
How much can money can I donate instead of paying taxes on it?
You can donate up to 50% of your income.
You do not want to make donations just to save on taxes. Assuming that you are in the 25% tax bracket, a $1000 donation to a charity nets you only $250 in Federal tax savings and that is only if you itemize.
Reply:You don't donate money "instead of" paying taxes with it. If you itemize, a qualified charitable deduction is an itemized deduction, but your tax savings is at most the amount of the donation times your tax bracket, not the whole contribution. So for example if you donate $1000 and your tax bracket is 15%, your maximum tax savings would be $150.
The donation is subtracted from your income before calculating your tax, not subtracted from your tax.
Reply:No more than 50% of your income. Keep in mind that you'll get no more than 35% of your donation back at tax time. For most taxpayers, 15% or 25% is tops.
If you're donating money to try and save on taxes, don't! You'll be much worse off in the end. You NEVER come out ahead by spending money to save it on taxes. The tax consequences of anything you are planning to do should be factored into your decision but must NEVER be the primary reason that you act.
Reply:best to consult your tax accountant, IRS regulations change year to year, what was allowed last year may not be allowed this year.

What happens to gains or losses on unvested retirement money when I leave my job?
If I leave my job before becoming vested, I understand that the company takes back the unvested money. But what if there is less money in the fund than what they have put in due to bad investments? Or what happens if I had made a lot of money due to good investments? Can they take back more than they put in if I make earning off of their money? Or do I owe them money if there is less than what they have put in due to losses?
What happens to gains or losses on unvested retirement money when I leave my job?
Any "unvested" money was never really there. It's just money on the books they WOULD have given you if you'd stayed. It's in the same place all the money is that would have funded your ten percent pay raise, had you got one, but didn't...
Reply:just think of it as a dream -- when you wake up it is gone -- if it made money it was a good dream -- if it lost it was a bad dream!!!
Reply:you lose the amount of money they put in plus any profits from that money or loses...it is as though the money was never there to begin with
Reply:The companies contribution to your 401k is kept separate from your employee contributions. The earnings and losses are for each are kept separate also. So any gain or loss attributable to the company contribution stays with the company if you have a zero vesting percentage
